The Mansion

The Mansion is a vertical slice of a potential spoopy game set in a 1920's Victorian mansion, somewhere outside NY on Long Island. Gwen comes home to find her partner missing and all sorts of stuff ensues.

The amazing thing about this project is that we worked hands-on with 100+ of our first year Art students from our Real-Time graphics and Gaming course. One teacher acted as the lead (artist) calling the shots, while the students were in charge of creating assets (with the minimum of 1 fully textured asset ready to go ingame due to the limited time). A great way to learn communication skills, work in a massive team with subteams while working on an amazing portfolio piece. 

After the 3 days we accumulated allmost 150 game ready assets, 2 fully rigged and animated creatures, dozens of sound effects and music and much much more!

Big thanks to all my colleagues for their help and support, and a massive shoutout to all those amazing students giving it their all!

Known issues:

- Pressing ESC in the main menu wil lock the cursor,  unable to continue. Please restart the game by quiting through the pause menu. When in doubt: ALT+F4

- Gameplay might not reset properly after the final cutscene. Please restart the game by quiting through the (pause) menu.
